Pay Rate: £13.75 – £15.00 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive mainstream primary school in Leyland. This role is offered on a temp‑to‑permanent basis, starting as soon as possible, and is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality support to pupils across the primary age range
• Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation and classroom organisation
• Deliver small‑group or one‑to‑one interventions as directed
• Support children with varying needs to access learning effectively
• Promote positive behaviour and help maintain an inclusive, engaging learning environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Candidates with childcare experience will also be considered
• A proactive and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to use initiative and follow direction
• A genuine passion for working with children in a primary setting
