Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant for an immediate full-time position within a specialist educational environment in Frome.

This setting supports pupils who benefit from additional guidance in areas including autism, cognition and learning needs, speech and language difficulties and social development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom-based support
  • Assist with tailored learning activities
  • Encourage participation and confidence
  • Work alongside teaching staff and specialists
  • Support emotional regulation strategies
  • Prepare resources and learning materials
  • Monitor engagement and achievement
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils
  • Promote inclusion throughout the school day

 

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Able to work collaboratively
  • Reliable and adaptable
  • Experienced working with children or young people

Previous experience within educational or care environments would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
