A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly mainstream primary school in Darwen for a 12-month placement.

This role offers the chance to make a real difference to pupils' educational journeys while working within a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils.
• Deliver targeted interventions and booster sessions.
• Support children with varying learning needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom participation.
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom resources.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months' experience in a school setting; or
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with children outside of a school environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
