We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with autism and associated learning and communication needs, helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

About the Role

Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you will:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils both in and out of the classroom.
• Help pupils access learning activities tailored to their individual needs.
• Support the development of communication, social, emotional and independence skills.
• Assist in creating a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.
• Encourage participation, achievement and wellbeing across all aspects of school life.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Is patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Can adapt their approach to meet individual learning needs.
• Is committed to promoting inclusion, independence and pupil wellbeing.
• Previous experience in education, SEND, care or support work is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
