Teaching Assistant Wanted in Carmarthenshire

Location: Carmarthenshire
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm
Monday to Friday, with no weekends!

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming school in Carmarthenshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference while enjoying school-friendly working hours and ongoing support from Teaching Personnel.

Your Role Will Include:

✅ Supporting pupils with their learning and development
✅ Working with individuals and small groups in the classroom
✅ Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
✅ Providing encouragement and emotional support to pupils
✅ Assisting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
✅ Helping pupils build their confidence, independence and social skills

What We’re Looking For:

✅ A positive, patient and caring attitude
✅ A genuine interest in supporting children and young people
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ Reliability, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
✅ Previous experience working with children is beneficial, but transferable experience will also be considered
✅ An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
✅ Registration with the EWC, or willingness to complete the registration process

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
