Teaching Assistant Opportunities – Swansea & Carmarthenshire
£14.25 per hour | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm | No Weekends!
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support schools across Swansea and Carmarthenshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and making a positive impact on young people's lives.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to support pupils in the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with their learning and development
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
- Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
- Helping to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Working Hours & Pay
✅ £14.25 per hour
✅ Monday – Friday
✅ 8:30am – 3:30pm
✅ NO WEEKENDS
✅ Flexible opportunities available across Swansea and Carmarthenshire
Desired Qualifications & Experience
Applicants may possess one or more of the following:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
- CACHE, NCFE, or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification
- Degree in Education, Childhood Studies, Psychology, or a related subject
- Previous experience working with children or young people in educational, childcare, sports coaching, youth work, or care settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's education and wellbeing
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the DBS Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to register before starting work
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to provide suitable references
Desirable Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential)
- Previous classroom experience
- Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN)
