We have been contacted by a local Secondary school with some very exciting opportunities to support with the recruitment of multiple Teaching Assistants starting in September. This excellent school provides a close knit inclusive feel for all learners and has specialist support for learners with additional needs.
The school has pupils aged 11-19 and you would need to be flexible in your approach to support all ages. Your role would be to assistant the Additional learning needs coordinator (ALNco) to support key areas that have been identified as needing to support for an individual pupil on a one-to-one basis.
You will be tasked with supporting education and social skills while providing feedback to the department in order to continuously develop the pupil you are working with. This role would prove to be an excellent opportunity for individuals who are either looking for a career in learning support or as a stepping stone for future Teachers.
*This is excellent experience for future PGCE students.*
The Role:
- Cardiff City Centre School
- Full Time Monday – Friday
- Pay from £83 per day
- Experience prior to PGCE
- Give support to pupils with their curriculum
- Help with additional learning such as wellbeing, behaviour management & mental health awareness
- Act as a support function between the Teachers, leadership Team & Parents/Social Workers
- Participate in extra curricular activities such as Sport, Art, Drama & Music

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
