SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support | Bridport | Full Time

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bridport, who are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child requiring additional support.

The role:

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1)
• Location: Bridport, Dorset
• Start date: ASAP / September 2025 start available
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only)
• Pay: Market-related, dependent on experience and qualifications

Key responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 support to a child with SEN (specific needs discussed at interview)
• Supporting the pupil’s academic and emotional development
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Adapting learning materials and strategies to suit the pupil’s individual needs
• Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment

Ideal candidate:

• Experience working with children with additional needs (formal or informal)
• Patient, caring and reliable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and flexible attitude
• Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
