SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support | Bridport | Full Time
Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s life?
Do you have experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)?
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bridport, who are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child requiring additional support.
The role:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1)
- Location: Bridport, Dorset
- Start date: ASAP / September 2025 start available
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only)
- Pay: Market-related, dependent on experience and qualifications
Key responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to a child with SEN (specific needs discussed at interview)
- Supporting the pupil’s academic and emotional development
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Adapting learning materials and strategies to suit the pupil’s individual needs
- Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
Ideal candidate:
- Experience working with children with additional needs (formal or informal)
- Patient, caring and reliable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and flexible attitude
- Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
