Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Location: Blandford Forum
Pay: £90–£95 per day
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner by agreement)

Teaching Personnel is working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Blandford Forum that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them develop confidence, independence and a love for learning.

Whether you've worked in a school before or have experience supporting children in another setting, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Role:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, supportive classroom environment.
  • Adapt your approach to meet the needs of different learners.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

We're Looking For Someone Who...

✔ Has previous experience working in a school (desirable).
✔ Or has experience working with children in another capacity, such as nurseries, youth work, sports coaching, childcare or similar.
✔ Is patient, caring and enthusiastic about supporting children's learning.
✔ Is a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
✔ Is keen to learn and develop within an education setting.

Safeguarding Requirements:

An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service is required for this role. If you don't currently have one, Teaching Personnel can support you with the application process as part of your registration.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
