Teaching Assistants & SEN Support Staff Required

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistants and SEN Support Staff to work in primary and secondary schools across Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde.
With the new academic year now underway, schools are looking to secure reliable and committed support staff who are seeking long-term positions starting immediately, with opportunities to remain in post until Summer 2027 and beyond.
Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant, an SEN Support Worker, or someone looking to transition into education from a child-focused or care-based background, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
Successful candidates will support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom, helping them to access learning opportunities and achieve their full potential. Roles are available in mainstream schools, specialist provisions and SEND settings.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing classroom support to teachers and pupils.
- Delivering targeted interventions on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
- Supporting children with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
- Encouraging pupil engagement, independence and confidence.
- Assisting with behaviour management strategies and pastoral support.
- Creating positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who:
- Have previous experience working within a school setting (desirable but not essential).
- Have experience working with children or young people in any capacity.
- Have backgrounds in care, youth work, coaching, nursery settings, social care, mentoring or similar fields.
- Are patient, resilient and passionate about supporting young people.
- Are looking for a long-term role and can commit to consistent work throughout the academic year.
- Hold or are willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
