Teaching Assistant- Full Time- ASAP Start- Birmingham


Location:  B33, Birmingham
Contract Type: Full-Time | Potential for Permanent Position
Start Date: After Easter 2026

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the B33 area of Birmingham. This is a full-time position, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful applicant will begin after the Easter break and will play a key role in supporting students across a range of subjects and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons

  • Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning

  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment

  • Provide tailored support to students who may need additional help on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Contribute to the overall wellbeing and development of pupils

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar Teaching Assistant role

  • UK-based school experience is essential

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people in education

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
