Academic Year Role (September 2026 – July 2027)
£95 – £105 per day PAYE

A supportive mainstream primary school in Bedford is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team for the full academic year. This role will involve supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals.

The school is part of a well-established multi-academy trust, providing strong SEN support structures, excellent professional development opportunities, and a collaborative team environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide support to pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assist with classroom learning and intervention activities
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff
• Help create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive

Essential Job Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
• Calm, nurturing, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
