Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

Day-to-day placements with potential for permanent position
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within secondary schools in Bath. This role offers flexible day-to-day placements, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting the class teacher within lessons
-
Working with small groups to reinforce learning
-
Providing 1:1 support to individual students
-
Assisting with classroom management and student engagement
-
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
Many secondary schools have dedicated support bases for students with additional needs. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting difference in young people’s lives, particularly those who benefit from targeted support.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working in a secondary school classroom
-
Confidence supporting students across a range of subjects
-
Strong behaviour management skills
-
A proactive and adaptable approach
-
Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) (desirable but not essential)

A genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
