We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within secondary schools in Bath. This role offers flexible day-to-day placements, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the class teacher within lessons

• Working with small groups to reinforce learning

• Providing 1:1 support to individual students

• Assisting with classroom management and student engagement

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs

Many secondary schools have dedicated support bases for students with additional needs. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting difference in young people’s lives, particularly those who benefit from targeted support.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working in a secondary school classroom

• Confidence supporting students across a range of subjects

• Strong behaviour management skills

• A proactive and adaptable approach

• Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) (desirable but not essential)

• A genuine passion for supporting young people
