Teaching Assistant

 Primary Teaching Assistant – Andover (SP10)
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2025

Teaching Personnel are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a local primary school in Andover (SP10) this September.

About the role:
In this role you will support the class teacher to ensure that all pupils can access learning and make progress. Key tasks include:

• Supporting pupils during lessons and small group interventions

• Assisting with reading practice, maths activities, and topic work

• Helping children who have additional learning needs

• Preparing and setting up classroom materials

• Encouraging pupils to be confident, independent learners

• Helping to maintain a safe and positive learning environment

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting

• Good communication skills and a friendly manner

• Patience, resilience, and a willingness to learn

• An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
