Primary Teaching Assistant – Andover (SP10)
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2025
Teaching Personnel are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a local primary school in Andover (SP10) this September.
About the role:
In this role you will support the class teacher to ensure that all pupils can access learning and make progress. Key tasks include:

Supporting pupils during lessons and small group interventions
-
Assisting with reading practice, maths activities, and topic work
-
Helping children who have additional learning needs
-
Preparing and setting up classroom materials
-
Encouraging pupils to be confident, independent learners
-
Helping to maintain a safe and positive learning environment
What we’re looking for:
-
Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
-
Good communication skills and a friendly manner
-
Patience, resilience, and a willingness to learn
-
An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
This is a rewarding role where you can directly influence pupils’ learning and confidence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
