The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and personally, helping them to feel confident, engaged and ready to learn.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support

• Helping pupils access the curriculum and develop their confidence

• Supporting pupils with their reading, writing and numeracy

• Encouraging positive behaviour and good learning habits

• Working with pupils who may have additional learning needs

• Supporting classroom preparation and organisation

• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff

• Helping create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

About You

We’re looking for TAs who are:

• Passionate about working with children and young people

• Patient, approachable and nurturing

• Confident communicating with pupils and staff

• Reliable, proactive and adaptable

• Able to work effectively as part of a team

• Committed to helping pupils achieve their potential

Previous school or childcare experience is desirable but not essential. Experience working with SEN, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring or care can also be highly relevant.
