Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Salary:

The salary for this role ranges from £80 to £95 per day.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons and activities.
  • Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help.
  • Supervising students during class and break times.
  • Assisting with the assessment and evaluation of students' progress.
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Education:

An educational background in a relevant field is desirable.

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is beneficial.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students.
  • Basic understanding of classroom management techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant certification would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working during school hours, Monday to Friday. Some additional hours may be required for extracurricular activities or events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
