Teaching Assistant
Flexible working/ Part-time
£77 per day (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Teaching Personnel are the leading education recruitment company, and our role is to support our local Welsh and English medium primary schools in Cardiff, with passionate and enthusiastic teachers and teaching assistants.
We are currently looking for teaching assistants to support our schools on a flexible and part-time basis. We have a number of roles available from three days a week to working when it suits you. We have an interactive app where you are able to update your availability and working schedule, therefore we can easily fit in around you.
The role of a teaching assistant:
- Help teachers prepare lesson materials
- Set up and tidy classrooms for lessons
- Work with the pupils to make sure they understand the task
- watch, record and report the progress pupils make
- Look after children who are upset or unwell
- Lead classes with help from the teacher
- Support the class on school trips and outings
- Help the class teacher to run physical education lessons
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in groups
About you:
- Have experience with children in a professional or personal setting
- Have a passion for education
- Have a passion for supporting children and helping children progress
- Be an energetic and enthusiastic person who can be a positive role model to the children

- Extra CPD courses to further enhance your experience and skills. These consist of online and in-person training throughout the year.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
