Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Full-Time, Temporary)

Withernsea, Hull
£90–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Full-time | Term-time only | Temporary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Withernsea, Hull, working within an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classroom. This is a full-time, term-time only temporary position, available for an immediate start, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to pupils’ early development and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children within the EYFS setting

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities

  • Support children’s early development in phonics, literacy, and numeracy

  • Promote positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional well-being

  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support colleagues to meet individual pupil needs

The Ideal Candidate

We welcome applications from individuals who are:

  • Passionate about supporting young children in their early education

  • Patient, caring, and reliable, with a calm and positive approach

  • Confident communicators who work well as part of a team

  • Motivated, flexible, and eager to learn

Previous experience working with children or in an early years/school setting is desirable but not essential, as training and ongoing support can be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
