Year 4/5 Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support
Bedford
Start: ASAP
Full Time – Monday to Friday
Academic Year Role
£95 – £105 per day PAYE (dependent on experience)
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bedford is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA to provide 1:1 support to a pupil in Year 4/5, helping them to engage positively with their learning and school environment.
The successful candidate will be joining a supportive school where staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive the individual support they need to thrive both academically and socially.
Your Responsibilities:
• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil in Year 4/5
• Support the pupil with their learning, engagement, and participation in lessons
• Help promote positive behaviour and encourage confidence and independence
• Build a strong, positive relationship with the pupil
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team
• Adapt activities and provide additional support where required
Essential Job Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a school setting
• Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis is desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, nurturing, and consistent approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
