Are you a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher looking for a new opportunity in Cardiff this September? Whether you’re an experienced DT teacher or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT/ECT), Teaching Personnel wants to hear from you!
We are currently working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Cardiff that is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Education to join their team for the new academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire creativity and innovation in pupils aged 11-16, and to play a key role in a supportive and well-resourced department.
✅ Position Details:
- Role: Religious Education/ Studies Teacher (NQT/ECTs welcome)
- Location: Cardiff, South Wales
- Start Date: September 2025
- Contract: Full-time, long-term (with the potential for permanent)
- Pay: £166 - £222 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and enlightening Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the national curriculum
- Contribute to a positive learning environment that supports academic and personal development
- Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and school events
- Support and mentor pupils with varying abilities and needs
Who We're Looking For:
- QTS or working towards QTS (suitable for NQTs/ECTs)
- Specialism in Religious Education (other subjects experienced advantageous)
- Strong classroom management and excellent subject knowledge
- Passion for the subject and enthusiasm for fostering an interest in creating global citizens
- Willingness to become part of a collaborative and committed team
