Teacher of Religious Education – Wakefield

What you’ll do:

Deliver engaging, thought-provoking RE lessons across Key Stages 3–5, fostering literacy, knowledge, and critical thinking.

Inspire curiosity and respectful dialogue around religion, belief, philosophy, and ethics.

Collaborate with a reflective Humanities team who value innovation, professional development, and sharing best practice.

Contribute fully to school life, including tutor groups, extra-curricular activities, and promoting student wellbeing.

Who we’re looking for:

Qualified with QTS (or equivalent) and confident teaching across KS3–5.

Creative and enthusiastic in lesson planning, with a commitment to high student outcomes.

A champion of inclusion, social justice, and the transformative power of education.

A team player who brings energy, passion, and fresh ideas to both the classroom and wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
