Job description

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Physics Teacher looking for your next long-term opportunity? Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Portsmouth that is seeking a passionate Physics specialist to join its Science Department on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will be joining a dynamic and supportive science faculty that is committed to inspiring curiosity and a genuine love of learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and appropriately challenging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

The role involves planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and assessing, tracking and reporting on student progress effectively. You will also contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment opportunities and extracurricular activities, playing an active role in the school community.

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent qualification, along with a degree in Physics or a closely related subject. Experience teaching Physics across Key Stages 3 to 5 is essential, as is a genuine passion for science education and supporting student achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
