Teacher of Maths – Experienced Specialist (Full Time)

Location: Farnborough | Contract: Permanent | Phase: Secondary (KS3–KS4)

We’re supporting a values‑driven secondary school in Farnborough to appoint a full‑time Teacher of Maths (Experienced Specialist). This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident practitioner with excellent behaviour management to join a collaborative Maths team and drive exceptional outcomes for learners.


The Role

  • Deliver engaging, challenging Maths lessons across KS3–KS4, fostering deep understanding and confidence.
  • Use assessment and data to plan targeted interventions and accelerate progress for all abilities.
  • Contribute to departmental improvement, shared planning and whole‑school numeracy initiatives.
  • Model high expectations for conduct and create a calm, purposeful learning environment.
  • Play an active part in a forward‑thinking team committed to continuous improvement and student success.

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) with a strong track record in secondary Mathematics.
  • Demonstrate outstanding behaviour management and positive relationships with learners.
  • Deliver consistently high‑quality lessons that stretch and support mixed‑ability cohorts.
  • Use a range of strategies to raise attainment, monitor progress and close gaps.
  • Communicate clearly with students, colleagues and parents/carers.
  • Be reflective, collaborative and committed to ongoing CPD.
