Teacher of Maths – Basingstoke – January 2026 Start

Full-Time | Secondary | Long-Term Position

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths looking for a new challenge from January 2026?
Teaching Personnel are supporting a dynamic secondary school in Basingstoke who are seeking a confident and committed Maths specialist to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis through to the end of the academic year.

This opportunity is ideal for teachers with strong curriculum knowledge and a proven ability to deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The school are seeking someone who can bring consistency, subject expertise, and a positive classroom presence to their department.


The Role:

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging Maths lessons across KS3–KS4
  • Support pupils of mixed abilities to make strong academic progress
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive Maths department
  • Ensure high standards of safeguarding and classroom practice

What We’re Looking For:

  • An experienced Teacher of Maths (ECTs may also be considered)
  • Secure knowledge of the KS3–KS4 Mathematics curriculum
  • Ability to motivate and engage students through clear, structured teaching
  • Strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
