About the Role
As a recruitment partner for a local Oftsed rated 'Good' secondary school in Mansfield, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Food Technology to join a supportive and forward-thinking Design & Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and a lifelong appreciation for food and healthy living.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)
  • Plan and prepare engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and well-equipped kitchen classroom environment
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
  • Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Food Technology or a related subject
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A commitment to student achievement and wellbeing
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
