Teacher of English (Unqualified Welcome) – Secondary Schools | Northamptonshire

We are partnering with welcoming and forward-thinking secondary schools across Daventry and Northamptonshire who are seeking a passionate Teacher of English to join their classrooms.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone looking to transition into education.

As an English Teacher, you’ll bring texts to life, spark imagination, and help students find their voice—while gaining invaluable classroom experience and support on your journey into teaching.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Encouraging a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking
  • Supporting students to develop confidence in their communication skills
  • Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Working closely with experienced staff to develop your teaching skills

We’re looking for:

  • A strong background in English, Literature, or a related subject
  • A passion for education and inspiring young people
  • Confidence in leading and engaging a classroom
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and adaptability
  • An interest in progressing into teacher training (optional but supported)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
