Teacher of English – Full-Time – Basingstoke – September 2025 Start

Are you a passionate and committed English teacher looking for your next opportunity in a vibrant and supportive school setting? We are working in partnership with a successful secondary school in Basingstoke, seeking an inspiring Teacher of English to join their dynamic department from September 2025.

Whether you're an experienced practitioner or a newly qualified English teacher (ECT), this is an exciting chance to join a thriving faculty in a school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted – with ‘Outstanding’ in key areas including behaviour, leadership, and personal development.


The Role:

  • Full-time English Teacher position
  • Teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Collaborating with an experienced, well-resourced and supportive English department
  • Contributing to the school’s outstanding CPD programme and wider enrichment activities
  • Starting September 2025 – permanent opportunity

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Literature and Language
  • A track record of delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
  • High expectations of behaviour, progress, and achievement
  • A reflective and adaptable teaching style – open to CPD and current pedagogy
  • UK residency and right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available)
