The English Department

The English department plays a key role in helping students develop strong literacy, communication and critical thinking skills. You will:

  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve their potential
  • Use assessment effectively to drive progress and attainment
  • Contribute to curriculum development and wider school life
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has strong subject knowledge in English
  • Is passionate about improving outcomes for young people

  • Is reflective, ambitious and committed to professional development
  • Thrives within a collaborative and supportive team environment
