Teacher of Design Technology – Yateley
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full time (part time considered) / Permanent
Salary: MPR / UPR

A high‑achieving and inclusive secondary school in Yateley is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Teacher of Design Technology to join its department from September 2026. The Design Technology Department
The Design & Technology department is a creative and collaborative team, delivering a practical, skills‑focused curriculum across KS3 and KS4. The subject plays a vital role in equipping students with problem‑solving skills, creativity and technical understanding.
The department offers opportunities across a range of disciplines, including:
- Product Design
- Resistant Materials / Engineering
- Textiles or other DT specialisms
Teaching spaces are well‑resourced, supporting both traditional workshop‑based learning and modern design approaches.
The Role
You will:
- Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4 (specialism flexible)
- Deliver engaging, practical and well‑structured lessons
- Support students in developing creativity, independence and technical skills
- Use assessment effectively to monitor and improve progress
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
Part‑time arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
