Salary: Teacher’s Main Pay Scale (TLR available for suitable candidate)
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: September 2026

About the Role
A secondary school in Lytham (FY8) are seeking to appoint an inspiring and committed Teacher of Computing to join their successful Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching and support pupils in achieving their full potential academically, personally, and spiritually within a strong Catholic ethos.
The school currently offer AQA Computer Science at Key Stage 4, and the successful candidate will teach Computing across Key Stages 3 and 4. A Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) may be available for an experienced candidate to support leadership within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons across a range of abilities
- Differentiate effectively to support all learners, including SEND, EAL, and high-attaining pupils
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Contribute to the development of the Technology curriculum and departmental initiatives
- Support pupils’ personal development and wellbeing, including Form Tutor responsibilities
- Uphold the Catholic values and ethos of the school
- Participate fully in school life, enrichment activities, and professional development
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
- Has experience teaching Computing at KS3 and KS4
- Can deliver KS3 Computing as part of a Design Technology carousel and KS4 Computer Science
- Demonstrates a commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
- Works collaboratively and contributes positively to a team environment
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Desirable:
- Experience in a Catholic school or willingness to support its ethos
- Proven track record of raising attainment
- Interest in extracurricular activities or vocational ICT pathways

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
