Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and creative Teacher of Art and Photography to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced candidate.
The successful applicant will have a strong subject knowledge in both Art and Photography, and a commitment to nurturing creativity, experimentation, and independent thinking in students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Art and Photography
- Inspire students to develop their creative, technical, and analytical skills
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress in line with school policies
- Contribute to the development of the Art and Photography curriculum
- Support extracurricular activities, including clubs, exhibitions, and trips
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Art, Photography, or a related subject
- Experience teaching Art and/or Photography at secondary level
- A strong understanding of current curriculum and assessment requirements
- The ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
