Job description

Full-Time Teacher – KS4 Full Curriculum | Alternative Provision

Are you a dedicated, flexible educator ready to inspire students who need a fresh start? We’re looking for a full-time teacher to deliver a broad Key Stage 4 curriculum within a supportive alternative provision, working with young people who have experienced challenges in mainstream education.

Based in a newly refurbished community centre, this setting offers a dynamic and adaptable learning environment designed around students’ individual needs. Facilities include state-of-the-art all-weather 3G five-a-side football pitches, a fully equipped gym, a community café, and a youth club — creating an engaging space where academic learning and personal growth go hand in hand.


About the Role

  • Teach engaging, accessible lessons across the full KS4 curriculum to small groups.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, helping them work towards positive outcomes.
  • Create a structured, nurturing, and motivational classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with a skilled and supportive team to implement strategies that boost engagement, confidence, and progress.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience in alternative provision, SEN settings, or working with students with EHCPs is highly desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students.
  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate teaching style with the ability to adapt approaches to meet diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
