Full-Time KS2 Teacher – January Start – Blackburn

Location: Blackburn
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent/Long-Term
Start Date: January
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)


About the Role

We are seeking an inspiring and committed KS2 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Blackburn from January. This is a full-time role teaching within Key Stage 2, with the opportunity to contribute to the wider school community and make a significant impact on pupils’ learning.

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons and a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum. You will work as part of a supportive team dedicated to ensuring all children achieve their full potential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum

  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

  • Track, monitor and report on pupil progress effectively

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and senior leaders

  • Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold school expectations

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers

  • Participate in staff meetings, CPD opportunities and wider school activities


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2

  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities

  • Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
