Inspire Early Learning Through Specialist SEND Education
Teaching Personnel are proud to support a highly regarded specialist provision in Wiltshire seeking an empathetic and imaginative PMLD EYFS Teacher to join their dedicated Early Years department on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a practitioner who is passionate about nurturing children with profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning needs and autism through engaging sensory-based experiences and highly personalised teaching.
Located within a purpose-designed learning environment, this setting provides education for pupils aged 4–19 and is recognised for its therapeutic approach, collaborative ethos and commitment to helping every child develop confidence, communication and independence.
The successful candidate will become part of a supportive curriculum team where creativity, compassion and innovation are genuinely valued.
The Opportunity
Within this role, you will guide pupils through the earliest stages of their educational journey using a pre-formal and semi-formal curriculum model that blends communication development, therapeutic input, physical wellbeing and exploratory learning.
Each learner follows an individualised pathway designed around their EHCP outcomes, sensory profile and developmental stage.
You will deliver engaging activities which encourage curiosity, interaction and emotional security while creating a calm and stimulating atmosphere where every achievement is celebrated.
The classroom is supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist staff who work collaboratively to provide consistent and meaningful support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver adaptive EYFS lessons tailored to complex SEND needs
• Create immersive sensory learning opportunities using music, movement, outdoor exploration and play
• Support communication development through visual approaches, interaction and structured routines
• Work alongside therapists, support staff and families to ensure holistic pupil progress
• Carry out home visits during the first term to build positive partnerships with parents and carers
• Encourage independence, engagement and confidence through nurturing relationships
• Utilise outdoor spaces, sensory environments and therapeutic resources to enrich learning experiences

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
