Have you worked as a Support Worker, Care Worker, Youth Worker or within Mental Health Services?

Are you interested in making the move into education?

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of specialist schools across West London who are looking to appoint Support Workers and SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people aged 6-18 with a range of additional needs.

These settings support pupils who may have:

  • Autism (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs)
  • Learning Difficulties
  • Speech & Language Needs
  • Trauma-related needs
  • EHCPs
  • Looked After Children (LAC)

The Role

You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them to:

  • Access education successfully
  • Develop confidence and independence
  • Improve emotional regulation
  • Build positive relationships
  • Engage with classroom activities
  • Overcome barriers to learning

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Team Teach training
  • Positive Handling training
  • SEMH experience
  • Autism experience

  • Experience working with children or young people
