Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Primary Special Educational Need School in the Erdington area. They’re looking for Youth Support Workers who can work alongside primary boys who have Autism, challenging behaviour and SEMH needs. The school is a lovely SEN Primary Pupil Referral Unit with brilliant staff and has a Good Ofsted report.

The school are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and have a bubbly personality, you do not need specific Special Educational Need experience! However, you must be willing to work on a 1:1 basis with their primary and be confident dealing with challenging behaviour. 

Main Duties

-          1:1 support 

-          Being a strong role model to the pupils

-          Be able to deal with challenging behaviour 

-          Follow safeguarding protocol

-          Support other team members

Requirements

-          DBS on the update service or willing to apply

-          Available ASAP

-          Passionate about helping others achieve
