Maths Supply Teaching Opportunities

 

Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Start date: Immediate / flexible

 

A high-performing Secondary School is seeking a passionate Maths Supply Teacher to join their team!

This opportunity is well suited to Early Career Teachers wishing to gain further experience, experienced teachers seeking flexible working arrangements, or educators looking to maintain their teaching practice while reducing workload.

 

The Role

As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for supervising pre-prepared lessons, maintaining a calm and purposeful classroom environment, and ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning. You will also be expected to follow the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies, collect completed work at the end of lessons, and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.

Those working as substitute teachers with Teaching Personnel benefit from a flexible working schedule, with both pre-booked and short-notice opportunities available. Weekly pay is processed every Friday through PAYE, and you will receive ongoing support from a dedicated personal consultant.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Ability to support those with SEN within a mainstream setting
  • Confident and adaptable in the classroom
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students
  • Genuine enthusiasm for educating young people
