A ‘Good’ school in Tameside is looking for a highly motivated RE teacher to join the teaching staff. The required applicant will hold QTS, and will have prior experience within a secondary school environment. A degree in RE or a related subject is extremely desirable. It is imperative that the applicant will be able to successfully differentiate learning to meet the needs of specific individuals.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Joining the department of a well ranked school, in a department where students are praised as making “good progress”
- Joining a school where pupils are described as being “fully engaged” as well as working “collaboratively”, as well as joining teaching staff who have been described as being “highly effective”.
- Receiving regular training, as well as continuous personal development to ensure consistent improvement is made. Progressive teacher development is of high importance.
- Being able to effectively manage pupils who have SEN – the number of pupils who access SEN support is above the national average.
- Being able to successfully implement unique strategies to ensure that the learning process is easily accessible to students.
- Being part of the teaching staff at a school where parents have praised the school, and are “overwhelmingly positive” about the school itself.
- Working as part of a team, being able to work in partnership with other members of the department to identify where improvements in teaching can be made.
- Working to ensure that individuals who require extra support are identified, and are given sufficient guidance, to ensure that they are able to tackle problems effectively.
- Pay - £28,000- £43,685 per year, based on prior experience.
The role will commence in September 2023 on a permanent basis.
The school is located in Tameside, not far from Manchester city centre. There are numerous public transport links within close proximity to the school itself. Additionally, there are several motorways allowing ease of access for those who drive. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
