Job description

Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to work across different schools, supporting children when they need it most?
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting supply teachers to work in Stockport primary schools and the surrounding areas.

This role offers flexibility, allowing you to choose when and where you work—perfect for those who can’t commit to a full-time position or want more control over their schedule. Every day will bring something new, so you’ll need to be adaptable and ready to meet the needs of different classrooms. To be considered, you must be a fully qualified teacher and familiar with the current national curriculum.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • An outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Experienced in teaching within a primary classroom setting
  • Able to adapt to changing classroom dynamics and pupil needs

Key responsibilities include:

  • Covering lessons where the class teacher is absent due to sickness, training, or other reasons
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and engaging pupils in their learning
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a safe, positive learning environment

This opportunity can work around you and is available on a full-time or part-time basis. You can update your availability weekly, and we’ll prioritise placements based on your preferences and year group experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
