Job description

Primary Supply Teacher – NG20 Area

Short-Term & Medium-Term Cover | Consistent Schools | No Planning or Marking

We are recruiting Primary Supply Teachers to support a small group of primary schools in the NG20 area as part of a new and developing supply partnership. These schools will be working with us on a regular basis, creating an opportunity for teachers to return to the same settings consistently rather than different schools each day.

This role is ideal for teachers seeking flexibility without uncertainty, and a better work–life balance without the demands of planning or marking.

The Role

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2

  • Provide cover on a short- and medium-term basis, with ongoing requirements

  • Work within the same few schools, allowing familiarity with routines and expectations

  • Maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment

  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies

  • Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times

No planning, marking, assessments, or meetings are required.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong UK primary classroom experience

  • Confident behaviour and classroom management skills

  • Flexible, reliable, and professional approach

  • Ability to quickly adapt while maintaining consistency for pupils

What You’ll Receive

  • Regular work with repeat bookings in the same schools

  • Competitive daily rates

  • Flexible working patterns to suit your availability

  • Reduced workload compared to permanent roles

  • Dedicated agency support and clear communication

Why Apply for This Role

This is not typical day-to-day supply. You’ll benefit from:

  • Familiar schools and pupils

  • A more predictable schedule

  • No planning or marking expectations

  • A supportive route back into teaching or a step away from full-time pressure

This role is well suited to experienced teachers, ECTs, and those returning to education.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
