Job description

Specialist Supply Teacher – SEN & SEMH Schools | Portsmouth

Teaching Personnel is recruiting experienced teachers for daily supply opportunities within specialist schools and alternative provisions across Portsmouth.

We are looking for professionals who are confident supporting children and young people with complex needs, including Autism, SEMH, communication difficulties, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Support pupils with diverse educational and emotional needs
  • Respond effectively to changing classroom situations

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Previous experience in SEN, SEMH, PRU, or Alternative Provision settings
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
