Exciting Opportunity: Sports Graduate Transitioning to Primary Teaching Assistant in Scarborough

Role Overview
As a Primary Teaching Assistant with a focus on sports, you will be instrumental in supporting the educational and physical development of primary school students in Scarborough. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Teachers: Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons, incorporating sports and physical activities into the curriculum.
- Providing Student Support: Offer one-to-one or small group support for students, including those with special educational needs, to ensure their academic and social progress.
- Leading Sports Sessions: Organise and lead sports sessions and extracurricular activities to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition.
- Collaborating on Events: Work with colleagues to plan and implement sports-related events such as sports days, tournaments, and fitness challenges.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
- A passion for working with children and supporting their holistic development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced school environment.
- Previous experience working with children or coaching sports teams is advantageous.
