Are you a passionate sports graduate looking to kick-start your career in education? Do you have the energy, confidence and drive to inspire young children through sport?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Reading to recruit an enthusiastic Sports Coach to support PE lessons, deliver high-quality sports sessions and promote healthy, active lifestyles across the school.
This role would particularly suit recent Sports, Physical Education or Coaching graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience. It’s also ideal for aspiring PE teachers or those considering a future career in education.
The Role
-
Deliver engaging PE lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
-
Lead structured lunchtime and after-school sports clubs
-
Support teachers with physical activity integration in lessons
-
Encourage teamwork, resilience and positive behaviour through sport

Assist with school sports events and competitions
-
Promote inclusion and participation for pupils of all abilities
You will play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, develop fundamental movement skills and foster a lifelong love of physical activity.
The Ideal Candidate

Degree in Sports, Sports Science, Physical Education or related field (desirable but not essential)

Experience coaching children (school, club or community settings)

Confident leading group activities independently
-
Positive, energetic and proactive attitude
-
Strong behaviour management skills

Passion for working with primary-aged children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
