Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant – Northampton & Surrounding Areas

Start Date: Immediate & Upcoming Starts (Roles available as soon as pre-employment clearances are completed!)

No Experience? No Problem. Your Personality is Your Best Qualification!

Are you looking for a career that actually matters? Do you have a big heart, plenty of patience, and a natural gift for connecting with people?

If you are ready to step away from the retail or hospitality grind and into a role that leaves you feeling proud at the end of every day, we want to hear from you!

We are recruiting fresh, enthusiastic talent to join our partner schools across Northamptonshire and surrounding local communities. As an SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant, you won’t just be staff—you’ll be a mentor, a cheerleader, and a daily anchor for students who need that extra bit of encouragement to thrive.

Why You’re Already Qualified

You don't need a background in education to make a massive impact. We look for genuine "people people." If you have transferable skills from any of the following, you already have the magic ingredients:

  • Care & Support Work: You understand empathy and know how to put others first.

  • Retail & Hospitality: You excel with people, adapt on the fly, and stay calm under pressure.

  • Coaching, Youth Work, or Parenting: You know how to engage, lead, and inspire young minds.

  • Military or Emergency Services: You are reliable, structured, and fantastic in challenging situations.

Why This is the Best Move You’ll Make

  • Unbeatable Work-Life Balance: No weekends, no late-night shifts, and no bank holidays. Work school hours and take your evenings and school holidays back!

  • Real Purpose: Go home every single day knowing you made a direct, positive difference in a local child's life.

  • Fast-Track Career Growth: Start with flexible options and open the door to permanent school contracts quickly.

  • Keep It Local: Save money on your commute with placements available right in the heart of Northampton and nearby areas.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine heart for helping children thrive, high energy, and a resilient "can-do" attitude.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to let us help you get cleared for work as quickly as possible!).

  • Right to Work in the UK: Applicants must have full right to work in the UK. (Recent arrivals will require an overseas police check from their previous country of residence).
