Spanish Teacher – Secondary School, Bury

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-time (part-time applications may be considered)

A secondary school in Bury is seeking to appoint a committed and suitably qualified Teacher of Spanish to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from September 2026.

This post presents an excellent opportunity for both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking to develop their careers within a supportive and well-structured environment.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching may be available)
  • Planning and delivering lessons that promote high standards of teaching and learning
  • Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress in line with school expectations
  • Contributing to the continued development of the MFL curriculum
  • Upholding the school’s values and contributing to the wider life of the school community

Person Specification

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • A relevant degree in Spanish or a related discipline
  • Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice
  • The ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities
  • A professional, reflective, and collaborative approach to teaching
