Aldershot – SEN Tutor Opportunities (In-Person Support)

TP Tutors is currently recruiting SEN Tutors to deliver personalised face-to-face tuition for children and young people throughout Aldershot and surrounding areas.

Role: SEN Tutor
Location: Aldershot and nearby locations
Hours: Flexible part-time and full-time roles available
Delivery: In-person tuition

The Role

This rewarding position involves supporting learners with additional educational needs outside of traditional school environments. Students may present with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, or barriers to accessing education.

You will provide engaging one-to-one sessions tailored to each learner’s ability, helping them rebuild confidence, develop skills, and progress at a pace that works for them.

Main Duties

  • Plan and deliver personalised in-person tuition sessions
  • Modify teaching styles and materials to suit individual learners
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning experience
  • Support both educational progress and emotional development
  • Monitor learner outcomes and adapt sessions accordingly
  • Maintain professional communication with families and professionals
  • Ensure sessions take place in a safe and supportive environment
  • Travel to and from learners’ homes or agreed tuition settings

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable
  • Suitable for individuals with backgrounds in education, tutoring, mentoring, or youth support
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Calm, patient, and flexible attitude
  • Strong organisational skills and reliability
  • Awareness of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Must be willing to travel for face-to-face tuition delivery

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
