1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – April

Norwich, Norfolk
£95 – £100 per day
Supply (Flexible Opportunities)


We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs across schools in Norwich and the surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about building positive relationships with children and supporting them to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored 1:1 support, adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of the pupil.

As part of our supply bank, this role offers flexibility while providing valuable experience across a range of school settings.


Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
  • Adapt support strategies to suit individual learning and behavioural needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCo
  • Support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities
  • Encourage inclusion and engagement in lessons
  • Provide positive reinforcement and emotional support

  • Be positive, proactive, and self-motivated
  • Have a calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Show a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN

Experience

  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential
  • We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds, especially those with a strong interest in education or SEN support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
