SEND Teaching Assistant | 1:1 Autism Support | Leyland
We are recruiting a committed SEND Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Leyland. This role involves providing dedicated support for a pupil with SEND, helping to ensure they have equal access to learning opportunities and achieve positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will be a motivated and caring individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Duties Include
- Providing 1:1 support within the classroom
- Supporting learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Implementing tailored support strategies
- Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Assisting with classroom activities and interventions
Candidate Requirements
- Previous Teaching Assistant or SEND support experience
- Experience working with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is advantageous
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Positive and patient attitude
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one
