We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary setting in Kettering. This rewarding role involves supporting primary-aged pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
The Role
You will:

Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual EHCP targets

Assist pupils with complex communication and sensory needs
-
Support personal care where required (including feeding and hygiene)
-
Implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies
-
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
-
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
-
Experience working with children with PMLD, ASC, or MLD (school or care setting)
-
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
-
Understanding of sensory integration and communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton – desirable)
-
Committed to inclusive education
-
Relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
