Job description

Are you a bubbly, enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? We’re working closely with local SEND schools in Haywards Heath who are looking for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join their teams!

Through our partnership with Teaching Personnel, these welcoming and supportive schools are seeking individuals who can make a real difference in the lives of their pupils—primarily primary-aged boys—by providing both 1:1 support and small group interventions.

The Role:
You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Behavioural needs
  • Learning difficulties

Your role will involve building positive relationships, encouraging engagement, and helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

 Key Details:

  • Location: Haywards Heath
  • Pay: £360–£400 per week
  • Contract: Temp to Perm
  • Hours: Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
  • Travel: Must be a driver
  • DBS Requirement: Child Only Enhanced DBS

What We’re Looking For:

  • A positive, bubbly, and proactive attitude
  • Experience or strong interest in SEND (ASC & ADHD)
  • Ability to work 1:1 and with small groups
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Reliability and commitment to a full-time role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
